Why Do People Have the Urge to Start Creating Good Habits?

Because they want to improve themselves and their life. We all know on a gut level that this is how it works.

Scientists concluded that about 40% of our daily behaviors are automatic. However, they determine 95% of our lives. Why? The automatic, repetitive behaviors compound with time.

The inconsistent behaviors nullify each other. One day you eat a burger, another day a carrot. The net effect is zero.

But if you consistently eat well, your health improves as well as your energy levels, productivity, self-esteem, and dozens of other tangible and intangible metrics.

BTW, I like your wording. Most people feel the urge to start a good habit, not to continue it. They don’t understand that it takes up to 254 days to create a new daily habit.

Change the urge to starting into the urge to keep going and you will be amazed how much your life can change.
