The Most Reliable Way to Improve Your Life
Aka: 8 Habits which Made My Life Better
Habits. Adopting new habits is the most reliable way to modify your behaviors and in the effect who you are.
I cultivate dozens of daily habits. This is just a sample in no particular order of effort or significance.
1. Exercise.
For years I kept doing one consecutive series of pushups. It not only kept me in acceptable shape, but it made my life better, because it prepared me to accept The Slight Edge philosophy, which is modeled after Jim Rohn’s philosophy:
“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.”
“Failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.”
I was able to immediately internalize this lesson, because I could relate it to my pushup habit. I trained pushups for years, that’s why I improved at it. Could success be as simple as that? Well, 5.5 years down this road I can tell you it is.
Daily exercises also helped me achieve and maintain my dream weight.
